![]() Damian G. ZamiasChairmanDamian Zamias has been actively involved in the real estate business since 1975. In 1977, he began specializing in an industry segment that would serve as a foundation for a key component of ZSI's future focus, retail leasing. Damian ultimately became responsible for site selection, environmental and zoning processes, and the coordination of the financial, marketing, leasing, architectural, engineering, and construction aspects of Zamias developments. To date, Mr. Zamias has been involved in the development and acquisition of approximately 20 million square feet of retail projects. Mr. Zamias served as President of Zamias Services Inc from 1996-2001. Mr. Zamias is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers as well as a former Vice Chairman of the National Wetlands Coalition. Additionally, he has lectured at various universities and organizations on development and environmental issues. Mr. Zamias is currently Chairman of Communities in Schools of Pennsylvania, a leading community-based organization helping children succeed in school and prepare for life. Mr. Zamias has been an active participant in the collegiate wresting arena, both as a wrestler and as a coach. Mr. Zamias resides in Pittsburgh with his wife Katherine. He has three children: Matthew, Lisa and Alexandra. |
